Job summary
Seeking an IT Support Technician / IT Support Engineer to join our Schenectady team. and a full time Monday–Friday schedule in Schenectady, NY.
You will support clients remotely, onsite, and over the phone, handling Windows issues, Microsoft 365, and network troubleshooting. This position is ideal for someone early in their IT career with a solid technical foundation, who enjoys problem solving and learning in an MSP setting.
Qualifications
Basic to intermediate Windows troubleshooting skills.
Experience with Microsoft 365 and Outlook.
Basic networking knowledge (IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi Fi, VPN).
Experience installing and troubleshooting computer hardware and software.
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Professional and friendly approach when working with clients.
Responsibilities
Provide remote, phone, and onsite technical support.
Troubleshoot Windows desktops and laptops.
Support Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive and related apps.
Create and manage Microsoft 365 users, licenses, permissions, and MFA.
Troubleshoot printers, scanners, and peripherals.
Diagnose internet, Wi Fi, VPN, and network connectivity issues.
Set up and deploy new computers and other hardware.
Assist with Windows Server and Active Directory environments.
Support firewalls, switches, and wireless access points.
Document work and maintain accurate service tickets.
Travel to client locations within the Capital Region as needed.
Collaborate with senior engineers on projects.
