The Tier 1 Technical Support professional provides first-level IT support and troubleshooting for software, network, hardware, and workstation issues. The role assists users, resolves basic technical problems, images and deploys computers, installs software and security updates, documents incidents, and escalates complex issues to higher-level technicians.
Key Responsibilities
Provide Tier 1 technical support for software, network, and workstation issues.
Troubleshoot incidents and identify root causes.
Image and configure computers.
Install software updates, security patches, and required configurations.
Document technical issues and resolutions in the ticketing system.
Escalate complex issues to Tier 2 technical support.
Deploy desktop workstations and laptops.
Provide professional customer service and technical assistance.
Required Qualifications
At least 2 years of Windows system administration and/or technical support experience.
Knowledge of Windows operating systems.
Experience supporting hardware and scientific peripherals.
Microsoft Endpoint Administrator or CompTIA A+ certification preferred.
DoD IAT Level II certification such as Security+ preferred.
Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one.
