Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Two-year vocational welding program or equivalent technical training preferred
• AWS Welding Certification is a plus

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of professional welding experience
• Strong TIG welding experience required
• Experience welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
• Ability to read blueprints, fabrication drawings, and AWS welding symbols
• Experience using precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, rulers, and squares
• Knowledge of welding machine setup and operation
• Basic math and measurement conversion skills

Job Duties

• Perform TIG welding on large and small weldments with tight tolerances
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and fabrication drawings
• Lay out, fit, tack, and fabricate weldments using fixtures and jigs
• Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, cleaning, and fitting components
• Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and compliance with specifications
• Operate welding equipment, grinders, hand tools, and measuring instruments
• Perform minor maintenance on welding equipment
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements

Physical Capabilities

• Frequently stand, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, and grasp
• Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, 20 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs continuously
• Perform repetitive hand and arm movements throughout the shift
• Maintain close visual attention for welding and inspection work
• Work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
