Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a TIG Welder role in Clackamas, OR. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled TIG Welder with experience welding Inconel and other exotic alloys in a precision manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong fabrication skills, a commitment to quality, and the ability to perform high-specification welds that meet strict customer and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform precision TIG welding on Inconel, stainless steel, nickel alloys, and other specialty metals.
· Read and interpret blueprints, weld procedures, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
· Set up and operate welding equipment while ensuring compliance with welding specifications and quality requirements.
· Produce high-quality welds that meet dimensional, cosmetic, and structural standards.
· Inspect completed welds using visual inspection tools and measuring equipment.
· Work closely with quality, engineering, and production teams to resolve welding and fabrication issues.
· Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
· Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
· Perform routine equipment maintenance and report any equipment issues.
· Support continuous improvement efforts to increase efficiency, quality, and productivity.
Qualifications:
· Minimum of 3 years of TIG welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
· Proven experience welding Inconel is required.
· Experience welding stainless steel, nickel alloys, and other high-performance materials preferred.
· Ability to read blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings.
· Strong understanding of weld quality standards and inspection requirements.
· Experience working to tight tolerances and customer specifications.
· Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Welding certifications are a plus.
