SURESTAFF is immediately hiring a TIG Welder for a leading manufacturing company in Fort Worth, TX. The TIG Welder is responsible for welding precision metal components using GTAW (TIG) processes while ensuring compliance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience welding stainless steel, aluminum, and other alloys, interpreting blueprints, and producing high-quality welds in a manufacturing environment.

SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation of $18 per hour (based on experience) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision).

Available shifts include: 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift
TIG Welder Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform TIG (GTAW) welding on stainless steel, aluminum, and other metal components according to engineering drawings and work instructions.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical specifications.
  • Set up and operate TIG welding equipment, including selecting proper filler materials and shielding gases.
  • Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, grinding, and fitting components.
  • Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Verify dimensions and tolerances using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Perform minor fabrication, fitting, and finishing as needed.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
  • Follow all company safety policies, welding procedures, and OSHA guidelines.
  • Identify and report welding defects, equipment issues, or material concerns to supervisors.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to meet production schedules and quality expectations.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
TIG Welder Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of TIG welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  • Experience welding stainless steel, aluminum, and thin-gauge materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and engineering drawings.
  • Strong understanding of welding procedures, metallurgy, and fabrication techniques.
  • Experience using measuring instruments including calipers, tape measures, and gauges.
  • Ability to produce clean, high-quality welds with minimal defects.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
  • Must be dependable and committed to maintaining attendance standards.
Education:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Welding certification from an accredited technical school or equivalent experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • AWS welding certification preferred.
  • Experience with sheet metal fabrication and precision welding.
  • Experience using grinders, saws, and fabrication equipment.
  • Familiarity with quality standards and manufacturing inspection processes.
  • Experience in aerospace, automotive, or industrial manufacturing environments is a plus.
