Job Description: The primary responsibility of TIG Welder is TIG the welding of aluminum and steel parts in a variety of standard and custom jobs. Each job must be run with safety, accuracy, and timeliness in the welding area.
Responsibilities: · Create quality welds according to blueprints (weld symbols) · Inspect welds for accuracy · Prepare product to be welded by grinding, drilling, milling, tapping, and cutting steel/aluminum parts · Change wire/welding and gas tanks as needed · Ensure all equipment is properly set up and used in a safe manner, and that all safety devices are in use · Perform first article inspections as well as subsequent inspections · Record proper and accurate entry into the time and attendance system · Willingness to be flexible within all areas of production within facility. · Other job-related duties may be necessary to carry out the responsibilities of this position
Skills & Requirements: · At least 1 year of experience or training in TIG Welding · Must pass the TIG welding test · Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings & job orders · Ability to operate measuring devices such as calipers and tape measurers · Basic computer navigation and data entry skills · Must be able to stand for at least 8 hours per day and lift up to 50 pounds · Ability to work overtime when needed
