Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced TIG Welder / Fabricator to join a growing custom sheet metal shop in Oklahoma City. This position focuses on fabricating high-end commercial kitchen equipment and architectural metal products using TIG welding, plasma cutting, and precision fabrication techniques.

The ideal candidate has experience welding stainless steel and aluminum, can read blueprints, and takes pride in producing quality craftsmanship.
Required Experience & Skills
Previous TIG welding experience required
Experience welding stainless steel and aluminum
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings
Experience using plasma cutting equipment and fabrication tools
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical work throughout the shift
Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled fabrication shop
Willingness to work occasional Saturday installations (paid at time-and-a-half)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
TIG weld stainless steel and aluminum components
Fabricate custom commercial kitchen equipment, including countertops, shelving, cabinets, hoods, and stainless steel fixtures
Operate plasma cutting equipment and other fabrication machinery
Measure, cut, fit, grind, and finish fabricated components
Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders
Operate shear and press brake equipment as needed
Assist with occasional onsite installations
Operate a sit-down forklift to safely move materials when needed
Maintain quality standards while ensuring a clean and safe work environment
Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing best practices
Weld Test Requirements
Candidates must successfully complete a hands-on fabrication and welding test that includes:

Fabricating metal test coupons
Performing T-welds and butt joints
Demonstrating proper heat and temperature control
Welding on 16 18 gauge stainless steel or carbon steel
Preferred Qualifications
Previous sheet metal fabrication experience
Experience building custom commercial kitchen equipment
Forklift experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly
Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, lifting, and repetitive movement throughout the shift
Comfortable working in a non-temperature-controlled fabrication environment
Ability to safely operate fabrication equipment while wearing required PPE
Work Environment
