Job Title: TIG Welder – Stainless Steel


Job Description


This role focuses on TIG welding stainless steel components used in high-purity systems for the semiconductor and advanced manufacturing industries. You will weld and fabricate valves, fittings, equipment hook-ups, manifolds, regulators, and tube press fitting systems while following detailed weld schematics and maintaining high quality standards in a clean manufacturing environment.


Responsibilities


+ Perform high-quality TIG welding on stainless steel components used in valves, fittings, equipment hook-ups, manifolds, regulators, and tube press fitting systems.

+ Read, interpret, and adhere to weld schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to complete work accurately.

+ Identify and correctly apply weld symbols to ensure proper joint preparation and weld quality.

+ Apply basic math skills to measure, layout, and verify dimensions and tolerances for weldments and assemblies.

+ Use fundamental welding principles to set up equipment, select appropriate parameters, and ensure consistent weld quality.

+ Work with stainless steel sheet metal and pipe, including purge welding of stainless pipe for high-purity applications.

+ Inspect welds and fabricated parts for quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications, making adjustments as needed.

+ Collaborate with manufacturing and fabrication teams to meet production schedules and support continuous workflow.

+ Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area in a clean manufacturing environment.

+ Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance weld quality, efficiency, and reliability.


Essential Skills


+ Proven TIG welding experience with stainless steel components.

+ Ability to read and interpret weld schematics, blueprints, and weld symbols.

+ Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment involving welding and fabrication.

+ Proficiency in stainless steel welding, including sheet metal and fabrication work.

+ Experience with inspection of welds and fabricated parts to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.

+ Basic math skills to support measurement, layout, and verification of dimensions.

+ Understanding and application of basic welding principles and techniques.

+ Experience with purge welding, particularly on stainless pipe for high-purity systems.

+ Stainless pipe welding experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.


Additional Skills & Qualifications


+ Background working on components such as valves, regulators, manifolds, and equipment hook-up assemblies is beneficial.

+ Experience supporting systems used for water, gas, and chemical applications, including high-purity and utility-grade services.

+ Familiarity with manufacturing for industries such as semiconductor, clean energy, life sciences, or advanced manufacturing.

+ Comfort working from detailed drawings and working closely with cross-functional manufacturing teams.

+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, reliable welds.

Work Environment


You will work in a clean manufacturing environment focused on high-purity stainless steel products. The role involves using TIG welding equipment, working with stainless steel sheet metal and pipe, and handling components such as valves, regulators, manifolds, and tube press fitting systems. Training is provided on a Monday through Friday day shift from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Upon transition, you will move to a Monday through Thursday swing shift from 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., with a 10% shift differential. The facility supports precision work and emphasizes cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $33.00/hr.
