    Description

    seeking an experienced TIG Welder to join our aerospace manufacturing team supporting the repair and fabrication of hot section turbine engine components for Pratt & Whitney aircraft engines. The ideal candidate will have experience performing precision GTAW (TIG) welding on high-temperature aerospace alloys while maintaining strict quality and regulatory standards. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, the ability to work from engineering drawings and repair specifications, and a commitment to producing high-quality work in a safety-focused environment.
    Essential Responsibilities
    • Perform precision (TIG) welding on aerospace engine components, including combustion chambers, turbine cases, shrouds, vanes, nozzles, and other hot section components.
    • Weld nickel-based superalloys, stainless steel, cobalt alloys, titanium, and other exotic aerospace materials.
    • Complete repair welding in accordance with OEM specifications, customer requirements, and FAA-approved repair procedures.
    • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, weld symbols, repair manuals, and technical work instructions.
    • Prepare components for welding through cleaning, grinding, fit-up, and fixture setup.
    • Perform dimensional and visual inspections before and after welding to ensure compliance with quality standards.
    • Maintain proper weld documentation and production records.
    • Work closely with Quality, Engineering, and Inspection teams to resolve weld-related issues.
    • Maintain welding equipment and ensure proper calibration and preventative maintenance.
    • Follow all company safety procedures, quality requirements, and aerospace manufacturing standards.
