Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a TIG Welder role in Portland, OR. Our client is a well-established industry leader known for innovation and a commitment to delivering the highest quality products. Key Responsibilities:

*NEED TO BE ABLE TO WELD ON 18G-20G STEEL*

· Perform high-quality TIG welding on aluminum, stainless steel, and other materials according to engineering drawings and specifications.
· Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly

· Set up, adjust, and maintain TIG welding equipment for safe and efficient operation.
· Inspect welds for quality, strength, and dimensional accuracy, making corrections as needed.
· Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, cleaning, and fitting components prior to welding.
· Use precision measuring tools to verify tolerances and ensure finished products meet quality standards.
· Follow all safety procedures while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
· Collaborate with production and quality teams to meet daily production schedules and customer requirements.
· Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and promptly report any equipment issues or safety concerns.
· Accurately document completed work and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent; welding certification is preferred.
· Previous TIG welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment is required.
· Ability to read blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings.
· Experience welding stainless steel and aluminum is highly preferred.
· Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
· Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
· Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work overtime or varying shifts as production demands require.
