The Billing Specialist is responsible for managing the billing process for assigned attorneys and clients, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of invoices in accordance with client guidelines and firm policies. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with attorneys, clients, and internal departments. Responsibilities:Compiles and bills attorney hours to clients every month; Reviews and edits pre-bills in response to attorney and assistant requests; Apply retainer funds as directed by attorney; Process write-offs following Firm policy; Review and verify accuracy of billing and supporting documentation as required; Research and respond to inquiries regarding billing issues and problems; Assist with client collections on Accounts Receivable;Electronic submission and tracking of invoices;Review and categorize non-billable time monthly; Assist with performing conflict checks;Perform lateral conflict searches; Assist with other duties as needed.  Qualifications:Associate's degree in accounting or a related field is preferred3 years of billing experience, preferably at a law firmEffective and efficient communication, data management and interpersonal skillsStrong analytical and number/math skillsAbility to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point) Job Type:This is a full-time position Monday through Friday onsite, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., or as determined by department needs. FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt Reports To:Time & Billing Manager Job Location:Reading, PA  In compliance with federal and state equal opportunity employment laws, The Stevens & Lee Companies is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate in regard to race, color, national origin, religion, disability, age, or gender.
