Financial Affairs is headed by the Chief Financial Officer and is divided into six groups: Financial Affairs; Treasury; General Accounting; Budget Management Analysis and Contracts; Grant Management; and Procurement Operations. The core mission of these groups is to provide accurate financial information so that Metra can run its business efficiently. Together these departments employ approximately 170 people.
The Timekeeper will perform clerical functions. Maintain and enter all department timekeeping activities into Kronos. Reviews all overtime reports and exception reports in the period close procedures, and secures the appropriate supervisory approvals. Responsible for the handling and preparation of payroll and various reports necessary for maintaining employee earnings records, vacation, absenteeism and employment records. Performs other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
This is a Union position. Starting pay rates may vary based on entry rates in the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
