Tippecanoe Valley High School is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and detail -oriented individual to serve as a

Part-Time Night Shift Custodian. This full-time position plays a vital role in preparing our school each evening for

the next days learning by maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Rate of Pay: $14.20/hr. starting pay, 29 hours/week, 4-5.75 hours/day

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize classrooms, hallways, offices, restrooms, locker rooms, cafeteria spaces, gymnasiums, and

other common areas.

• Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and perform general custodial duties throughout the building.
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles and dispose of waste properly.
• Perform routine building maintenance and report maintenance concerns promptly.
• Assist with setup and cleanup for athletic events, school activities, and special events.
• Operate custodial equipment and cleaning tools safely and efficiently.
• Secure the building by ensuring doors, windows, and designated areas are properly locked.
• Follow all district safety procedures, policies, and custodial protocols.
• Perform other duties as assigned by administration or custodial leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous custodial, maintenance, or facilities experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and move equipment and supplies as needed.
• Ability to work independently while managing time effectively.
• Strong attendance and dependability.
• Ability to successfully pass a background check to work in a school setting.
