Northland Automotive is a full service auto repair and tire shop. We are a family owned business that strives for an excellent customer experience every time. We value our employees and know that they are a crucial part in making our customers experience the best that it can be. We are looking for a Tire and Lube Technician, with a minimum of three years experience, to add to our Rockford location. 


Responsibilities:
  • Perform engine oil and oil filter changes
  • Inspect and top off automotive fluids
  • Replace air/cabin filters and windshield wipers
  • Restock and maintain inventory levels on the shop floor
  • Maintain the store organization and cleanliness
  • Provide service inspections on all vehicles
  • Inspect tires on vehicles before and after installation
  • Perform tire rotations, balancing and other maintenance tasks
  • Follow all safety protocols while working in the shop
  • Work as part of a team to troubleshoot customer concerns quickly and effectively
  • Follow and promote our high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization
  • Work closely with the service department and effectively communicate customer concerns 

Requirements:
  • Positive attitude and a desire to serve customers
  • Proven work experience as a Tire Technician, Lube Technician or similar role, for minimum of 3 years
  • Some professional experience removing and installing tires preferred
  • Team player to work with other team members
  • Attention to detail to install tires properly and provide oil changes
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • MI state certifications required
  • Capable of diagnosing and repairing all makes/models of vehicles
  • Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes
  • Professional appearance and strong communication
  • A desire for long-term career development
