We are looking for an experienced and dependable Tire Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience servicing passenger vehicles, light trucks, and commercial trucks, with the ability to perform tire installations, repairs, rotations, balancing, and related tire services.
Experience performing wheel alignments on passenger cars and light trucks is also required.
Responsibilities
Install, remove, rotate, balance, and repair tires on passenger cars, light trucks, and commercial trucks.
Mount and demount tires using appropriate tire service equipment.
Perform tire inspections and identify tire wear, damage, and safety issues.
Perform flat repairs, tire rotations, and tire pressure checks.
Service commercial truck tires safely and efficiently.
Perform wheel alignments on passenger cars and light trucks.
Diagnose alignment and tire-related issues, including uneven tire wear.
Operate tire changers, wheel balancers, alignment machines, and other shop equipment.
Properly torque wheels and follow manufacturer and shop safety procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Provide professional and courteous service to customers when needed.
Follow all OSHA, DOT, and company safety procedures applicable to tire service.
Perform other duties related to tire and automotive service as needed.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a tire technician or in automotive tire service.
Experience working on passenger cars, light trucks, and commercial trucks.
Experience performing wheel alignments on passenger cars and light trucks.
Ability to safely mount and demount a variety of tire sizes.
Knowledge of tire repair, balancing, rotation, and inspection procedures.
Ability to operate tire and alignment equipment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver's license preferred.
Commercial truck tire experience is strongly preferred.
Preferred Skills
Experience with commercial truck and fleet tire service.
Alignment experience.
Knowledge of TPMS systems.
Experience with computerized wheel balancing and alignment equipment.
Ability to identify suspension and steering issues that may contribute to abnormal tire wear.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry heavy tires and equipment.
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work for extended periods.
Ability to work in a shop environment and safely handle heavy commercial truck tires.
Must be able to follow proper lifting and safety procedures.
