Tire Technician

General Description:

This position is responsible for installing, inspecting and maintaining tires on company equipment. Actively participates and displays behaviors of the company values. Must have a valid driver's license.

Essential Duties:

• Mount and dismount tires.
• Inspect trucks and trailers for flats.
• Transfer tires from storage.
• Removal of scrap tires from axles and transfer to the shredder.
• Record and compile "flats" and "junks" for VP of operations, as well as tire histories, tread depth, mileages, tire evaluations and tires transferred out for reconditioning.
• Requisition tires, rims and parts for repair of tire equipment.
• Supervise temporary workers and assist other mechanics as necessary.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Legible handwriting.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
• Self-motivated.
• Must be willing to work in an outdoor environment.
• Must pay attention to detail.
• Proven customer service skills.
