Tire Technician

This role focuses on mounting and assembling wheels and tires for irrigation equipment in a fast-paced, line production environment. You will work on off-the-road (OTR) tires and wheels, using hand and power tools to swap out and assemble tires with accuracy and consistency to meet daily production targets. The position is full-time, day shift, and requires being on your feet throughout the workday.

Responsibilities
  • Preassemble and organize wheels and tires in preparation for mounting.
  • Read and interpret wheel and tire requests from customers to ensure accurate fulfillment.
  • Mount different sizes of wheels and tires accurately, efficiently, and in line with production standards.
  • Use basic hand tools, tire tools, alignment machines, air wrenches, and other essential equipment to perform daily tasks.
  • Inspect wheels and tires during and after mounting to verify proper fit and quality.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area throughout the shift.
  • Follow established safety procedures and production guidelines at all times.
  • Perform general labor and mechanical tasks related to tire mounting and assembly as needed.
  • Support the production line by assisting teammates and completing additional tasks as assigned.
Essential Skills
  • Experience using basic hand tools and power tools in a mechanical or production environment.
  • Ability to perform mounting and assembly work with accuracy and consistency in a fast-paced setting.
  • Capability to read and understand customer wheel and tire requests and follow written instructions.
  • Comfort working on off-the-road (OTR) tires and wheels or willingness to learn.
  • Mechanical aptitude and general labor experience related to tire work or similar tasks.
  • Ability to stand on your feet for the entire shift and perform physical tasks safely.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work area and following safety procedures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a tire technician, production worker, or in a similar skilled labor role.
  • Familiarity with tire tools, alignment machines, and air wrenches.
  • Experience working in a line production environment with daily production targets.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality when mounting and assembling wheels and tires.
  • Willingness to take on additional tasks and support team members as needed.
  • Reliability and punctuality for consistent day-shift work.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, on-site role in a tire production and mounting facility operating Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. You will work on your feet throughout the day in a hands-on, mechanical setting that involves using hand tools, tire tools, alignment machines, air wrenches, and other production equipment. The environment is fast-paced and line production oriented, with a focus on safety, organization, and teamwork.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, NE.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
