Position: Educational AssistantRequirements: 1. High School Diploma or Equivalent2. Must pass Para-Pro Praxis exam Primary Purpose:Assist the teacher in the preparation and management of curriculum activities and administrative requirements. Work under the supervision of a certified teacher.Major Responsibilities and Duties: To provide support to the teacher in the instruction of studentsAssist the teacher in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays using research-based programs/strategies in math, reading, writing, science and social studiesProvide research-based individualized and/or small group instruction and provide guidance for computer-aided instructionAssist the teacher in preparing and planning the daily schedules and help execute the daily lesson planAssist with the administration and scoring of objective testing instruments and assignmentsKeep the teacher informed of any special needs or problems of individual studentsAssist in inventory, care and maintenance of equipmentParticipate in staff development training programs to improve job performancePerform other functions that may be assigned by the administrator or supervisorAssist in parental involvement activities Those interested should complete an application for employment.Must pass a FBI/TBI background check
