Maxwell Public Schools is seeking a motivated and student-centered Title I Teacher to serve in our school-wide Title I program. This position plays a key role in supporting student achievement through assessment, intervention, and data-informed instruction in both literacy and mathematics.

Position Summary

The Title I Teacher is responsible for coordinating and implementing academic interventions to support students who are at risk of not meeting state and district academic standards. This includes oversight of IRIP (Individual Reading Improvement Plan) testing and planning, collaboration with staff to implement a comprehensive intervention system, and the use of data to drive instructional decisions.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, innovative educator who continuously seeks better ways to serve students and strengthen district practices.

Primary Responsibilities

• Coordinate and administer IRIP assessments in accordance with Nebraska Reading Improvement Act requirements. • Develop, implement, and monitor Individual Reading Improvement Plans (IRIPs) for eligible students. • Collaborate with teachers and administrators to design, implement, and refine a school-wide intervention system. • Provide targeted instructional support and interventions in literacy and mathematics. • Analyze and utilize student achievement data to guide instruction, interventions, and progress monitoring. • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to assessments, interventions, and student progress. • Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and administration to support continuous student growth. • Stay current with best practices in intervention, assessment, and instructional strategies. • Demonstrate initiative, flexibility, and a growth mindset in improving systems and outcomes within the district. • Perform other duties as assigned that support student success and district goals.

Qualifications

Nebraska teaching certificate (or ability to obtain). Strong background in literacy instruction and mathematics intervention. Experience with data analysis and progress monitoring preferred. Knowledge of IRIP requirements and intervention frameworks is preferred. Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills. Self-motivated, innovative, and student-focused.

Salary and Benefits

Salary is commensurate with experience and education in accordance with the Maxwell Public Schools salary schedule. Full benefits package consistent with district policy.
