JOB DESCRIPTION

Title of Project/Activity:

Title I Washington Paw Pals Mentoring Program 2026-27

Activity Details:

Staff members needed at Washington Elementary School to provide personal learning

relationships with at risk students. The purpose of the program is to provide

support towards homework assistance, academic achievement, and building a

positive rapport with a struggling student. Teachers will be asked to reach out to

their assigned student's teacher to see what work is missing or what social emotional skills can be focused on.

Students will be recommended by the homeroom teachers and also recommended based on attendance patterns. Parents will be notified and sign off on an agreement allowing their student to work with the assigned teacher. A weekly log will be completed and shared.

Amount of students and staff needed will be based on need and availability.

Program Outcomes:

Bi-weekly mentor logs

Analysis of student attendance data
