General Summary The Title III Activity Director provides leadership, coordination, and oversight for assigned activities under the College's U.S. Department of Education Title III Strengthening Institutions Program grant. The position is responsible for planning, implementing, monitoring, evaluating, and reporting grant -supported initiatives focused on instructional innovation, faculty development, student success, academic pathways, and institutional effectiveness. Working collaboratively with faculty, staff, administrators, and external partners, the Activity Director supports the development and implementation of flexible learning opportunities, academic pathways, degree maps, student support strategies, and data -informed decision -making processes. The position ensures activities are implemented according to approved grant objectives, timelines, budgets, and performance measures while promoting long -term sustainability and institutionalization of successful practice s. Essential Job Duties • Provide leadership and day -to-day management of assigned Title III grant activities. • Monitor project progress and recommend adjustments to support achievement of grant goals and performance outcomes. • Coordinate activities among academic departments, student services units, institutional effectiveness personnel, and project partners. • Supervise, support, and evaluate assigned grant personnel in accordance with College policies and procedures. • Collaborate with faculty and academic leaders to develop and implement distributed hybrid programs, intersession offerings, academic pathways, and degree maps. • Support the design, revision, and evaluation of instructional and student support initiatives that improve student engagement, persistence, and completion. • Coordinate faculty development activities that promote innovative instructional practices, student -centered learning, and technology -enhanced instruction. • Assist departments in identifying and implementing strategies to address student achievement gaps and learning barriers. • Participate in project evaluation processes and continuous improvement activities. • Utilize institutional data and assessment findings to guide project implementation and decision -making. • Collaborate with Institutional Research and project evaluators to collect, analyze, and interpret performance data. • Maintain accurate records and documentation demonstrating project progress and outcomes. • Assist with monitoring grant expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets and applicable policies and procedures. • Support budget planning, revisions, and resource allocation activities as appropriate. • Assist the College in integrating successful grant -supported practices into ongoing institutional operations. • Develop recommendations and strategies for sustaining effective initiatives beyond the grant period. • Foster collaboration and organizational engagement that support long -term adoption of project outcomes. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Knowledge of curriculum development, instructional design principles, and student success strategies. • Knowledge of higher education practices, policies, and accreditation expectations. • Knowledge of project planning, implementation, assessment, and continuous improvement methodologies. • Ability to interpret and utilize data to support planning and decision -making. • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while meeting deadlines. • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem -solving skills. • Strong leadership and team -building abilities. • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. • Ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with faculty, staff, students, and community partners. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and educational technologies. • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment. Education and Experience • Minimum Bachelor's degree in education or related discipline (Master's preferred) • Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in instruction, curriculum development, student services, educational program management, or related higher education work. • Experience leading projects, initiatives, committees, or organizational improvement efforts. • Experience with non -traditional students and both employment -oriented and transfer -directed learners . Positions Supervised Title III Instructional Designer Working Environment Generally works indoors in a standard office environment. Normal college working hours apply, with occasional evening or weekend work as required. Travel to other instructional sites or professional meetings may be required.
