Requires a physical examination. High school graduate preferred. No less than six (6) months experience in kitchen related work. Must have valid driver’s license.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Prepares meals for Title VI program
Prepares menus in advance to meet the special dietary needs of elderly and employees
Prepares food supply lists for Program Director to order
Raw food
Kitchen supplies
Utensils
Kitchen staples
Responsible for all related kitchen duties and practices
Sanitation
Health
Safety
Food storage
Temperature checks daily on food served, refrigerators, and freezers
Responsible for specific cleaning duties
Record keeping of the following items:
Daily meal count of all meals served
Daily sign-in meal sheet
Daily count of units of service
Periodically surveys food likes and dislikes from participants
May at times deliver meals when needed to fill in for one of the transporters
Relationships to other position and organizational entities.
Work as a team in the kitchen with the assistant cook.
All new hires will be required by the Kaw Nation (post hire) to submit to an employment drug screen and background check. Failure to pass the post hire drug screen or the background check will lead to withdrawal of the job offer or termination of employment.
