We're seeking a Human Resources Representative to join our growing team! The HR Representative provides outstanding customer service and guidance to our booksellers regarding Benefit, Payroll and HR issues.

What you do:

  • Provide outstanding customer service and guidance to our booksellers regarding Benefits, Payroll and HR policies.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and gather all related documentation and key details to ensure accurate and timely payment of booksellers.
  • Assist benefit administrators in health and welfare plan management and qualified plan administration.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of federal, state and local regulations as they pertain to employment practices.
  • Prepare correspondence related to employment verifications, subpoenas, garnishments, unemployment claims and various other employment-related documents.
  • Support the administration of our applicant tracking system, Talent Gateway, and call center tracking ServiceNow.
  • Monitor the call queue and remain alert to calls at all times, ensuring all calls are kept to a minimum hold time.
  • Contribute to the overall efficient operation of the department and foster a team environment.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Basic Excel and Word knowledge preferred
  • Excellent communication, customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and handle a large volume of phone calls
  • Ability to work in our Westbury, NY office 2 - 3 days/week.

An employee in this position can expect a starting rate of $25/hour depending on experience, seniority, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law.

Benefits for those who are scheduled to work less than 20 hours per week include Employee Discount, EAP and Sick Pay.
