Title: Toaster Operator

Location: Gilroy, CA

Pay Rate: $26per hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday, Any shift

The Powder Toaster Operator is responsible for operating the Powder Toaster production line to process onion and garlic powder according to customer specifications and quality standards. This role ensures efficient production while maintaining food safety, product quality, and workplace safety.

Essential Responsibilities

• Operate the Powder Toaster production line safely and efficiently.
• Process onion and garlic powder to achieve required color, moisture, and customer specifications.
• Adjust product feed rates to optimize throughput, product quality, and moisture levels.
• Use a handheld scanner to track production and inventory.
• Complete all required HACCP documentation accurately and on time.
• Communicate effectively using a two-way radio.
• Obtain and maintain forklift certification.
• Follow all food safety, quality, and safety procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Successfully pass the required skills assessment.
• Ability to read, understand, and accurately complete required production paperwork.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to conduct workplace safety inspections and follow established safety procedures.
• Strong attendance, safety, and work performance record.
• Ability to work any shift, including overtime, as required.
• Ability to work year-round in a manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to climb ladders and stairs.
• Ability to remove and reinstall machine guards and access doors.
• Ability to move drums of finished product onto pallets.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, bend, and stand for extended periods as required by the position.

Work Environment

• Frequent exposure to a manufacturing environment that is loud, dusty, and warm.
• Required use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous forklift operating experience is preferred but not required. Training and certification will be provided.
