This is a full-time position available from Monday to Friday, scheduled is from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The hourly pay rate is $14.50 -$15.50, based on experience and qualifications.  This position is situated at our center located at 1108 Peachtree Street, Cocoa FL 32922. 

The Toddler 2s Teacher develops a cohesive teaching team, coordinates the curriculum, and manages the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom while implementing a curriculum that is appropriate for Toddlers (2 years of age). The Teacher in this role should be high-energy and able to work well with staff, students, and parents. You’ll have the opportunity to serve as a model and mentor, leader in the classroom, champion a team environment, and provide fun-filled learning opportunities while making a positive impact on the lives of our toddlers.

What You’ll Do:   
•    Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards   
•    Lead by example and encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching   
•    Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to engage children and encourage social, cognitive, and emotional growth   
•    Follow all Britt Children’s Academy policies and state regulations   
•    Maintain a personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement   
•    Implement sensory-rich, age-appropriate lesson plans
•    Encourage children to develop a community-spirited classroom through sharing, caring, language skills and self-regulation
•    Encourage independent feeding and self-help skills
•    A well-balanced schedule of activities including learning, playing, diapering / potty training, eating, and napping
•    Track children’s progress and report to parents
•    Collaborate with other educators
•    Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards

What We Need from You:   
•    High School Diploma and/or degree in Early Childhood Education or related field of study preferred   
•    FL DCF 45 hours required

•    CDA for infants and Toddlers highly preferred    
•    Must clear a full DCF level II background check.   
•    At least 1-3 years of professional early childhood training/experience   
•    Ability to write a lesson plan based on our curriculum “Beyond Learning”  
•    CPR Certification and First Aid Certifications plus
