Job Summary At Jumper Bean Daycare & Preschool, we are expanding within our preschool building and opening new Toddler classrooms for the upcoming school year. We are seeking a caring and dependable Assistant Toddler Teacher who enjoys working with young children and supporting a positive, nurturing classroom environment.
The Assistant Toddler Teacher will work closely with the Lead Teacher to support daily routines, assist with activities, and help maintain a safe, structured, and engaging classroom. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about early childhood and enjoys being part of a collaborative team.
Responsibilities
Assist the Lead Teacher in creating and maintaining a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment
Support implementation of age-appropriate activities and daily routines
Help maintain consistent routines for diapering, potty training, meals, naps, and play
Ensure proper supervision and safety at all times
Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members
Assist with monitoring and documenting children’s daily activities as needed
Follow all OCFS regulations and center policies
Support classroom organization and cleanliness throughout the day
Work collaboratively with the Lead Teacher and other staff
Qualifications
Previous experience in a child care setting
Interest in early childhood education and child development
CDA certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Reliable, responsible, patient, and positive attitude
Passion for working with young children and supporting their development
