Toddler Teacher (12–18 Months) – Full-Time

A warm, patient, and growth‑minded toddler teacher is the heart of an infant/toddler classroom, and this role is designed for someone who loves supporting early development while working closely with a collaborative team. About the Role

This full‑time position focuses on creating a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for infants and young toddlers. You’ll work as part of a supportive teaching team, follow established routines, and help build strong relationships with children and families. The ideal candidate is comfortable taking direction, eager to learn, and committed to professional growth in early childhood education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide responsive, developmentally appropriate care for children ages 1–18 months, including feeding, diapering, soothing, and supporting emerging mobility.
  • Implement daily routines and activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment aligned with Washington Administrative Code (WAC) licensing requirements.
  • Collaborate with Lead Teacher to plan activities, share responsibilities, and maintain consistent communication.
  • Observe and document children’s progress to support individualized care and developmental milestones.
  • Build positive, professional relationships with families through daily communication and trust‑building interactions.
  • Follow center policies, licensing regulations, and health and safety guidelines at all times.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working in a licensed child care center, specifically with infants or toddlers.
  • Familiarity with Washington State WACs related to child care licensing.
  • Ability to take direction, accept feedback, and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills and a calm, patient presence.
  • Interest in continuing education, professional development, or advancing in the early learning field.
  • Reliability, professionalism, and a genuine love for supporting young children.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ECE coursework, STARS training, or willingness to complete required training upon hire.
  • CPR/First Aid, Food Handler’s Permit, and other state-required certifications (or ability to obtain).

Schedule & Compensation

  • Full‑time position (Monday–Friday 8:30am-5:00pm
