Toddler Classroom Teacher II: Early Head Start Head Start is seeking a creative, organized individual to join our teaching team in meeting the physical, cognitive, and social/emotional needs of toddlers enrolled in the Early Head Start center-based program. As a Classroom Teacher II you will: - Work as a member of the classroom team to plan, set up, direct and carry out daily classroom activities
- Complete required screenings and assessments, facilitate referrals, and special services if needed
- Conduct home visits and parent-teacher conferences
- Supervise classroom staff and volunteers
- Assist in maintaining full enrollment and viable wait lists by participating in outreach opportunities and promoting the program in the community
This is a year-round position. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood or a related field with a focus on infant and toddler development; one year of experience in an early childhood program; valid New York State driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Pay Range Guide: - Standard Start Rate - education and experience meet job requirements
- Advanced Start Rate - education and experience exceed job requirements (subject to approval)
