    We are a Christian childcare center in Watervliet, NY, dedicated to nurturing the whole child spiritually, academically, and developmentally. We are looking for a Lead Toddler Teacher who is ready to inspire our youngest learners to explore, grow, and thrive.

    What a Typical Day Looks Like

    As our Lead Toddler Teacher, you are the director of discovery. You won't just be managing a room; you’ll be creating an environment where success is celebrated, and learning is an adventure.

    • Design the Adventure: Plan and execute engaging, curriculum-based lessons.
    • Nurture & Guide: Help toddlers master the big stuff: sharing, expressing emotions, communicating, playing fairly, and expanding their vocabularies.
    • Lead the Team: Provide leadership, guidance, and inspiration to assistant teachers and volunteers in your classroom.
    • Partner with Parents: Keep families in the loop on their child's incredible milestones, progress, and daily achievements.
    • Track the Growth: Observe, document, and assess each child's development.
    • Keep it Safe & Sound: Maintain a vigilant, safe, and loving environment ensuring health and safety protocols are strictly followed.

    Requirements

    Who You Are

    You are patient, creative, and resilient. You know how to turn a transition into a song, a spill into a learning moment, and a routine into a fun game.

    • Experienced: You have at least 2 years of experience in a childcare setting, with a specific soft spot for the toddler age group (18–38 months).
    • Credentialed: You hold a CDA in Infant/Toddler (an Associate Degree is a major plus!).
    • Certified: You are current with your MAT, First Aid, and CPR certifications.
