About the Role:
Maes Learning Academy in Hopewell, VA is looking for a passionate and nurturing Toddler Teacher to join our growing team! Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement age-appropriate, developmentally focused lesson plans for toddlers
• Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
• Monitor and support the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child
• Maintain open, positive communication with parents and guardians regarding daily activities and child progress
• Follow all childcare licensing regulations, health, and safety protocols
• Assist with diapering, feeding, nap routines, and other daily care needs
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to support a positive classroom and school culture

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required; CDA credential or degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
• Previous experience working with toddlers or in an early childhood setting strongly preferred
• Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices
• Ability to pass a background check and meet Virginia childcare licensing requirements
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Patient, energetic, and compassionate demeanor with a genuine love for young children
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
