Responsibilities:- Plan and implement age-appropriate, developmentally focused lesson plans for toddlers
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment
- Monitor and support the social, emotional, and cognitive development of each child
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding child progress and daily activities
- Maintain a clean, organized, and child-safe classroom at all times
- Follow all licensing regulations, health, and safety guidelines
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to support overall academy goals
Requirements:- Previous experience working with toddlers or young children in a childcare or preschool setting
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient, compassionate, and enthusiastic demeanor
- Ability to pass a background check as required by Virginia childcare licensing
- High school diploma or equivalent required; CDA or Early Childhood Education degree preferred
