About the Role:
St. James Early Learning Center in Pensacola, FL is looking for a passionate and nurturing Toddler Teacher to join our dedicated team! This is a wonderful opportunity to make a lasting impact on young learners during their most formative years in a warm and supportive environment.



Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities for toddler-aged children
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
  • Monitor and support the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding child progress and daily activities
  • Maintain accurate developmental records, daily logs, and classroom documentation
  • Ensure classroom health and safety standards are consistently met and upheld
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to support a positive learning community
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required; CDA credential or degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
  • Prior experience working with toddlers or young children in a childcare or educational setting
  • Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children, parents, and staff
  • Patient, compassionate, and enthusiastic demeanor with a genuine love for working with toddlers
  • Ability to pass a background check and meet state childcare licensing requirements
  • Current or ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
