The Tool and Die Machinist will set up and operate manual and CNC machines, such as lathes, milling machines, EDM, shapers, and grinders, to produce metal workpieces according to specifications and blueprints.
Responsibilities include analyzing work orders, selecting tooling, positioning workpieces, setting machine controls, and verifying measurements using gauges and CMM. The role involves performing routine maintenance, adhering to safety policies, and collaborating to improve quality and efficiency.
Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 1-3 years of related experience, proficiency in reading blueprints and measuring devices, and strong attention to detail. Good communication skills and the ability to prioritize tasks are essential.
