Tool and Die Maker Santa Teresa, NM

Seeking an experienced Tool and Die Maker to support new tool builds, die maintenance, and production needs. Responsibilities include in?press die repair, troubleshooting, welding, sharpening, preventative maintenance, and improving part quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support new die builds and provide input during design review meetings.
  • Develop build plans and coordinate materials with Engineering, Tool Room Supervisor, and suppliers.
  • Build internal die components and direct CNC Machinist as needed.
  • Assemble tooling, send out components for heat treat/coatings, and organize materials.
  • Perform tooling tryouts, perfect dies in press, and submit parts for quality approval.
  • Maintain tooling during production and support die repairs.
  • Participate in run?at?rate events and mentor apprentices.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; 5+ years tool & die build/repair experience.
  • Journeyman certification preferred but not required.
  • Proficient with large progressive dies and manual machines (lathes, mills, grinders).
  • Strong problem?solving, math, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints, micrometers, gauges, and comparators.
  • Metal fabrication experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Must maintain Lift?Truck and Overhead Crane permits.
  • Safety? and quality?focused with strong organizational skills.

Have openings on 1st shift 7:00am to 3:30pm and 2nd shift 3:00pm to midnight with overtime as needed.
