Our client is an established manufacturing company seeking skilled Tool and Die Makers to join their team. Job Responsibilities -
- Plan and execute fabrication operations for dies, molds, tools, and assemblies by interpreting blueprints, sketches, specifications, and models while maintaining safety and efficiency standards.
- Manufacture die components, tooling, and fixtures by working from design prints and verbal instructions using standard tool room equipment.
- Inspect finished parts against engineering specifications using precision measurement tools including dial indicators, gauge blocks, calipers, and micrometers.
- Assemble, repair, and modify gauges, jigs, and dies using a combination of hand tools and machine tools.
- Design and produce templates and jigs to serve as fabrication aids for consistent and efficient part production.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with tools, manually operated dies, molds, and progressive dies through hands-on troubleshooting and repair.
- Collaborate with internal teams, external customers, and suppliers to address concerns and resolve production challenges.
- Perform test runs with completed tooling and dies to validate part specifications, making necessary adjustments to ensure quality standards are met.
Job Requirements -
- Two or more years of experience in tool and die making preferred.
- Ability to stand for the duration of a shift and lift 50 pounds repetitively.
- Strong visual acuity and attention to detail for precision measurement and inspection.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex tooling issues.
- Solid mathematical aptitude, including the ability to work with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals across all units of measure.S
