This role requires a skilled individual with metal manufacturing experience to manufacture, repair, and maintain production machinery and equipment.
Responsibilities include setting up and operating machine tools such as lathes and milling machines, interpreting blueprints and specifications, performing precision measurements, scheduling parts, and responding quickly during production hours to assist maintenance.
The candidate will also plan work schedules, test new systems, promote preventive maintenance, and manage disposal of waste oils.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, a minimum of 7 years in tool and die or equivalent experience, CNC programming skills, and experience with press dies preferred.
Good communication skills and willingness to work 2nd shift are required.
Reports to the Lead Tool & Die Hand or Tool and Die Manager. The primary location is Clanton.
