What You'll Do
As a Tool Room Machinist, you'll manufacture, repair, and maintain precision tooling used throughout our production facility.
Your responsibilities include:
- Machine, repair, and fabricate tooling, dies, fixtures, and replacement parts
- Operate manual and CNC equipment, including lathes, mills, grinders, and related machinery
- Perform precision machining on ferrous, non-ferrous, and composite materials
- Inspect finished components using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and precision measuring equipment
- Read blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications
- Troubleshoot tooling issues and recommend improvements
- Support tooling rebuilds, refurbishments, and continuous improvement projects
- Maintain tooling inventory and prepare tool sets for production
- Work closely with Production and Maintenance teams to minimize downtime
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of machine shop or manufacturing experience
- Experience operating manual machining equipment
- Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings
- Experience using precision measuring instruments
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical training in Tool & Die, Machining, or Manufacturing Technology
- CNC machining experience
- Basic CNC programming knowledge
- Experience repairing and rebuilding tooling
- Experience with OD/ID grinding or jig grinding
- High-speed manufacturing experience
