A growing manufacturing company in the Valley View area is seeking a Tool and Die Maker to support stamping operations. This position focuses on building, repairing, and maintaining precision tooling used in metal stamping production. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys troubleshooting tooling issues and working with high precision equipment.
What you will do:
  • Build, repair, and modify stamping dies, fixtures, and tooling
  • Troubleshoot tooling issues that impact production quality or uptime
  • Perform routine die maintenance and preventative repairs
  • Set up and adjust tooling to ensure parts meet print specifications
  • Inspect tooling and finished stamped parts using precision measuring equipment
  • Work with engineering and production teams to improve tooling performance
  • Maintain maintenance records and tooling documentation
  • Follow all safety procedures within a manufacturing environment
  • Support training of apprentices or junior tooling personnel when needed
What we are looking for:
  • 3+ years of Tool and Die experience in a manufacturing or stamping environment
  • Experience with die repair, fabrication, or maintenance
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
  • Strong understanding of precision measurement (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
  • Experience with manual machining equipment such as mills, lathes, and grinders
  • Welding or CNC experience is a plus
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting ability
Preferred background:
  • Tool & Die apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Experience working with progressive or transfer dies
  • Journeyman Tool & Die certification is a plus
Work environment:
  • Manufacturing setting with stamping equipment
  • Standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs may be required
