Job Details

Tooling Fabrication

Design, build, and modify dies, fixtures, gauges, and special tooling from drawings or samples
Operate manual machines (mills, lathes, grinders, EDM, drill presses) to produce tooling components
Perform precision layouts and select appropriate materials and heat treatments
Assemble, test, and adjust tooling to meet tolerance and performance requirements

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

Repair and maintain tooling to minimize downtime
Diagnose dimensional issues and implement corrective actions
Track tooling condition, repairs, and preventive maintenance
Assist with machine maintenance and alignment as needed

Quality & Collaboration

Inspect parts using precision instruments to ensure compliance with drawings and GD&T
Collaborate with engineering and production on tooling development and improvements
Support new product development through prototyping and machining input
Follow safety, quality, and shop standards; mentor junior team members as needed

Qualifications
3+ years of Tool & Die experience in a precision manufacturing environment
Proficient with manual machining; working knowledge of CNC mills and lathes
Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills
Skilled with precision measurement tools
Knowledge of tool steels, heat treatment, and machining principles
Solid math skills (geometry, trigonometry, tolerancing)
Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities
