The ideal candidate will bring comprehensive expertise in all facets of Tool & Die operations within plastic injection molding including mold maintenance supervision leadership in supporting production and new mold development and advanced craftsmanship skills. They must excel in breakdown management root cause analysis and implementing solutions to prevent recurrence while driving PM system development spare parts optimization and operational efficiency. Strong collaboration across cross-functional teams and leadership is essential to address safety quality and production challenges paired with exceptional communication organizational and innovative problem-solving abilities to elevate the Tool & Die teams performance and strategic impact.
Supervise Tool & Die Specialists defining daily tasks and team direction
Manpower management scheduling PMrepair tasks vacation OTweekend shifts
Coordinate with Production Manufacturing Engineering Design Engineering and customer departments Paint General Assembly
Develop standards procedures and maintain updates
Manage repairrefurbishment projects and engineering change implementations
Assist with budget development reporting and spare parts inventory tracking
Drive team skill development through training and individual objective alignment EducationalTraining Requirement Completion of a Tool & Die apprenticeship or equivalent on-the-job training OJT experience
Leadership & Technical Expertise 5 years of supervisory experience and extensive hands-on expertise in maintaining and repairing automotive plastic injection molds
Project Management Proven experience in managing projects from conception to completion
Technical Proficiency Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of programs
Leadership & Development Ability to motivate teams in high-pressure environments and create individualized development plans to address weaknesses and leverage strengths
