Job Description

We are looking for experienced Tool Install Construction Coordinators to support the planning, coordination, and execution of semiconductor manufacturing equipment installations within advanced fabrication facilities in Hillsboro, OR. This role serves as a key liaison between tool vendors, construction teams, facilities personnel, and project stakeholders to ensure successful equipment delivery, installation, hookup, testing, and turnover.

The ideal candidate possesses experience in semiconductor tool installation, equipment moves, factory startup activities, or construction coordination within cleanroom environments and is capable of managing multiple installation activities simultaneously while maintaining strict safety, quality, and schedule requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate semiconductor equipment installation activities from delivery through final turnover.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between tool vendors, subcontractors, facilities teams, and client representatives.
  • Develop and maintain detailed installation schedules, milestones, and readiness plans.
  • Coordinate tool delivery logistics, staging, rigging, and movement into cleanroom and support areas.
  • Verify construction and facilities readiness prior to tool installation, including utilities, structural supports, cleanroom conditions,
  • and access requirements.
  • Coordinate installation contractors performing rigging, setting, leveling, anchoring, and assembly of semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
  • Track installation progress and proactively identify schedule risks, resource conflicts, and potential delays.
  • Facilitate daily and weekly coordination meetings with stakeholders and installation teams.
  • Ensure required permits, work authorizations, safety documentation, and installation packages are complete prior to work execution.
  • Support mechanical, electrical, process piping, gas, chemical, exhaust, and controls hookup activities.
  • Monitor contractor compliance with semiconductor facility safety requirements and cleanroom protocols.
  • Coordinate factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), startup activities, and equipment commissioning.
  • Manage punch list items, turnover documentation, and project closeout activities.
  • Maintain accurate installation status reports and communicate progress to project leadership.

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 7+ years of semiconductor tool installation, equipment coordination, construction coordination, or facilities project experience.
  • Experience working in semiconductor fabrication facilities, cleanrooms, or advanced manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor equipment installation processes and vendor coordination.
  • Understanding of facility systems including electrical, process piping, HVAC, exhaust, gas, chemical, and controls infrastructure.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple equipment installations simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience supporting tool installation projects within semiconductor fabs.
  • Knowledge of installation readiness reviews and commissioning processes.
  • Experience with equipment move-in, hook-up, startup, and qualification activities.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing environments.
