The Tool Maker develops, cuts, shapes or forms metal work pieces to specifications by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Repairs tools from blueprints, verbal instructions andor 3D models.
• Experience with bench work such as air tools and polishing are a must.
• Responsible for all phases of mold repair as well as fixtures and trim dies.
• Responsible for following all safety procedures/regulations and keeping immediate work area clean.
• Assists in prioritizing repairs to ensure maximum production capabilities.
• Operates standard tool room equipment such as lathes, grinders, milling machines, etc.
• CNC and EDM experience would be a plus.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Knowledge of TS and ISO 14001.
• Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

One year certificate from college or technical school; minimum three years related toolroom and machinery experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must be familiar with precision measuring tools and knowledge reading and interpreting read blueprints.
