    Job Title: CNC Machinist/Tool Maker

    Location: New Britain, CT

    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist/Tool Maker to operate and program 3- or 4-axis mills and lathes (horizontal or vertical) in a dynamic aerospace tooling manufacturing environment. This role requires a hands-on professional who can work independently, interpret technical documentation, and ensure precision machining of complex components.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Interpret blueprints, GD&T drawings and specifications to plan machining processes.
    • Program CNC mills and lathes, setting reference points, tool registers, offsets, and knowledge of Mastercam a plus.
    • Set up machines by installing chucks, tools, align and indicate vices and heads.
    • Execute machining operations such as milling, turning, facing, threading, knurling, grooving, and drilling with precision.
    • Adjust and reprogram machines as needed to maintain part quality and efficiency.
    • Conduct preventive maintenance and troubleshoot basic equipment malfunctions.
    • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
    • Participate in training and stay up-to-date on machining best practices and technologies.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum 2 years of machining experience or completion of a recognized Machining Certificate program.
    • Ability to independently set up and operate CNC machines in a non-production environment.
    • Familiarity with blueprints, GD&T, and inspection tools.
    • Aerospace machining experience is a strong plus.
    • Programming experience is a plus, but not required.
    • US Citizenship required due to ITAR restrictions.
