Tool Room Attendant

Job Summary

The Tool Room Attendant can perform any combination of the following tasks to receive, store, distribute, and requisition tools, equipment, and products within establishments.

Essential Functions

Actively support the Company's commitment to safety and its "Core Values." Represent the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company's "Code of Business Conduct and Ethics."

Assist tool room in checking in/out tools, distributing consumables, and logging transactions. Maintain small tools and consumable inventory records. Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed. Complete requisition forms to order tools and equipment and maintain inventory records. Prepare reports on overages, shortages or damaged tools.

Ensure all work referenced above is completed at an acceptable productivity level for employee's classification and experience level. Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times. Perform additional responsibilities, as needed.

Utilizing the ERP system and interacting with vendors by written or verbal communication.

Qualifications

Prior experience working in fabrication shop environment. General knowledge and experience with basic hand tools (Drills, Grinders, etc.). Inventory/clerical skills. Basic computer skills in Word, Excel and databases. Ability to work well with and support internal customers, and lead team members.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to perform tasks at heights. Work will include pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying objects weighing up to 60 pounds, such as raw or fabricated material, equipment or tools. Heavyliftingwilloftenberequiredtoperformtasks. Must be able to kneel, squat, and climb. Work will include frequent bending, kneeling, crouching and stooping and occasional climbing onto equipment and/or trailers. Work involves standing and/or walking for extended periods of time, up to a minimum of 8-10 hours per day. Must be able to perform required duties for extended periods of time, often inside confined spaces. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. with assistance. Finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination and ability to maintain balance. Must be able to climb ladders.
