Position Summary
The Tool Room Clerk will report directly to the branch Service Manager and will be responsible for supporting all Service Technicians through detailed handling of a variety of duties including handling incoming calls, creating dray tickets, shipping tools to other branches, maintaining clean and orderly work area, and other duties not specified.
Essential Job Functions
- Maintains accurate tool inventory
- Tracks all tooling loaned out to Technicians
- Inspects, cleans, and repairs returned tooling
- Orders and maintains shop supplies and places tool orders as require
- Maintains work area in accordance with Contamination Control guidelines
- Performs basic building maintenance operations
- Completes accurate dray tickets
- Other duties assigned by Service Management
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
Minimum Experience:
- Candidates for this position must possess strong mechanical aptitude.
- No formal work experience is required for this position; however individuals with prior mechanical experience will be given stronger consideration.
- Experience using personal computers and basic typing skills are required for this position.
- Candidates must the ability to quickly acquire the following required Skills and Competencies.
