Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Tool Clerk, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining efficient warehouse operations and ensuring the seamless flow of materials and tools throughout our supply chain. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop expertise in inventory management, procurement processes, and warehouse logistics while supporting the overall productivity of our distribution center. As a Tool Clerk, you will be instrumental in managing tool and equipment inventory, coordinating with various departments, and contributing to process improvements that enhance operational efficiency.

Duties

Manage and track tool and equipment inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or AS400.Coordinate procurement activities by sourcing tools, negotiating with suppliers, and managing contracts to ensure cost-effective purchasing.

Conduct data mining and analysis to identify inventory trends, root causes of stock discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvements.

Oversee shipping & receiving operations for tools and materials, ensuring accurate order fulfillment and timely delivery.

Utilize data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau to generate reports on inventory levels, demand planning, and supply chain analytics.

Perform materials handling tasks including heavy lifting, stocking, and organizing tools within the warehouse environment.

Support logistics functions such as demand planning, stock rotation, and inventory control to optimize warehouse efficiency.

Qualifications

Proven experience in warehouse distribution, inventory management, or supply chain management with a strong understanding of warhouse operations.

Proficiency in ERP systems (e.G., SAP, Oracle) and data analysis skills using SQL or other analytics tools like Tableau or Power BI

Knowledge of procurement processes including sourcing, pricing strategies, vendor management, and contract negotiations

Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement process improvements based on data insights.

Valid forklift certification preferred;experience with materials handling equipment is a plus.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets related to supply chain analytics and demand planning.

Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and materials management.

Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely;familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures is advantageous.
