We’re seeking a Tool Room Clerk who takes pride in keeping a shop organized, efficient, and ready for production. This role supports daily tool control by staging, storing, and maintaining hand tools, cutting tools, and fixtures. It’s a great fit for someone dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Issue, set up, and return hand tools and cutting tools to support production and machining needs.
  • Organize and store tooling, fixtures, and related equipment to ensure quick access and proper control.
  • Create and maintain tool sheets for jobs, documenting required tooling and setup information.
  • Inspect tooling for wear or damage and coordinate replacements, sharpening, or repair as needed.
  • Keep tool room inventory accurate and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

 

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a tool room, machine shop, or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with hand tools, cutting tools, and basic shop tooling practices.
  • Ability to follow tool sheets and maintain organized storage systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Comfortable working on your feet and handling tools and fixtures throughout the day.
  • Basic computer skills for tracking tools and documenting inventory.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to support production teams.
  • Reliable, consistent, and safety-minded.
