About the Opportunity
Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Tool Room Technicians for a manufacturing company. In this role, you’ll help build and repair die casting tools while supporting efficient production operations. If you enjoy hands-on, precision work in a fast-paced environment and working with machinery, this could be a great fit.
What You’ll Do as a Tool Room Technician:- Set up and run tool room machinery and repair parts
- Read blueprints and follow specifications to complete work accurately
- Measure and inspect parts using precision tools such as calipers and micrometers
- Build, repair, and adjust dies, tooling, and components
- Diagnose tooling issues and complete repairs, sometimes while tools are in machines
- Perform drilling, grinding, polishing, and assembly of parts
- Support continuous improvement efforts and meet production deadlines
What You Need to Bring to the Tool Room Technician Role:- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–2 years of manufacturing or production experience preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to heat, noise, vibration, and machinery
- Ability to follow safety policies and procedures
