Job Description
2nd Shift Hours: 1:00pm-9:00pm or 3:00pm-11:00pm (some schedule flexibility allowed)
Key Responsibilities
1st Priority - Daily Execution • Setup and removal of molds in production equipment in order to perform necessary maintenance and PM activities • Program and Operate all Tool Room Equipment • Make alterations to existing molds, fixtures, and tooling in support of design changes • Proficient in programming and operating CNC mills, surface grinders, and manual lathes • Maintain a safe working environment in the tool room for others conducting work in the tool room • Group Leader responsibilities as assigned
2nd Priority - Mold Repairs/Maintenance • Mold & Die disassembly & reassembly to support changeovers or repairs • Coordinate and track Mold tool repairs through CMMS (eMaint) • Participate in RCFA on damaged tools from production
3rd Priority - Continuous Improvement - Reduce Cost • Train and Mentor • Surface Problems • Utilize PDCA to solve problems and drive improvements
Requirements
Education
• Journeyman Tool and Die maker, or 7 plus years experience in a tool and die or mold shop • Knowledge and use of CNC controls
Experience
• 2-4 years experience in machining operations/Building fixtures • Basic Computer Skills • Experience/Exposure to Injection Molds is a plus
