Step into a hands-on role where you shape the tools that shape our products. As a Tooling and Fixturing Fabrication Specialist, you will design, plan, build, and modify production machinery, tooling, equipment, and related facility structures to keep operations running smoothly across the plant and grounds.

A Day in the Shop

You’ll start by reviewing specifications and production needs, then move between the design bench and machine tools—fabricating gages, jigs, and fixtures that elevate quality and throughput. You’ll talk directly with setup techs and operators, gather feedback, and iterate. When tooling shows wear, you’ll strip it down, clean, lubricate, repair, and rebuild. Throughout the day, you’ll monitor performance, spot opportunities for improvements, and keep documentation accurate and current.

What You’ll Do

• Design, fabricate, and implement production tooling, gages, and machine fixtures.
• Monitor tooling performance for efficiency; identify and execute repairs or enhancements.
• Service and repair tooling assemblies (disassemble, clean, lubricate, rebuild).
• Analyze specifications; set up and operate machine tools to produce precise components.
• Maintain, adjust, improve, and develop new tooling, gages, and fixtures as needs evolve.
• Handle purchasing and quotation tasks; collaborate on troubleshooting directly with machine setup and operators to capture feedback and improvement ideas.
• Ensure operations meet standards and support ongoing continuous improvement initiatives.
